Every R Series part number begins 146, and the last three digits of the number are the design code, which is what determines the correct seal kit.

Reading an R Series part number

R Series numbers take the form 146-1185-002. The first three digits (146) are the product line. The middle four identify displacement and configuration. The last three are the design or engineering change code. Two R Series motors with different displacements but the same design code take the same seal kit, so record all ten digits from the data plate before ordering.
