Yes. KPM stands for Kawasaki Precision Machinery, the Kawasaki Heavy Industries division that builds the hydraulic pumps, motors and valves. Parts listed as Kawasaki, KPM or Kawasaki Precision Machinery refer to the same equipment.
K3V and K5V tandem pumps are the main pumps on most Kobelco, Hyundai, Volvo, Doosan, Kato and Sumitomo excavators. The full model code is stamped on the pump nameplate, for example K3V112DT or K5V140DTP. Send that code and we will confirm the parts that fit.
All RestoPower aftermarket Kawasaki parts carry a 2-year no-hassle replacement warranty. In-stock items ship within 24-48 hours from Michigan, USA.
Send us the full model code from the pump nameplate — same-day response guaranteed.

Get a Quote →RestoPower supplies parts, seal kits and rebuild components for Kawasaki (Kawasaki Precision Machinery / KPM) axial piston pumps — the K3V and K5V excavator main pumps, the K3VL and K3VLS industrial and marine range, the K3VG and K7VG heavy-duty industrial pumps, and the K8V closed-circuit series. These are rebuildable units, which is exactly the kind of work we take on.
Reading a Kawasaki model code
A Kawasaki code such as K3V112DT-1XER-9N24 carries the series, the displacement per pump section, the tandem or single configuration and the control and port arrangement. The series and frame size (63, 80, 112, 140, 160, 180, 200, 280) decide which parts fit. Two pumps of the same frame with different controls share most wear components but not all of them, so send the full code from the nameplate rather than just the frame size.
Kawasaki ranges we cover
- K3V / K5V / K7V — high-pressure open-circuit tandem pumps for excavators and earth-moving equipment
- K3VL / K3VLS — medium and high pressure variable displacement pumps for industrial, marine and mobile systems
- K3VG / K7VG — heavy-duty industrial pumps for presses, injection moulding and steel mill hydraulics
- K8V — closed-circuit variable displacement pumps for hydrostatic drives
What fails on a Kawasaki piston pump
- Shaft seal leaks — the most common single job, and the cheapest to catch early.
- Loss of flow or slow hydraulics — worn valve plate, cylinder block or piston shoes. A seal kit will not recover this; the rotating group needs attention.
- Case drain running high — internal leakage past the valve plate or pistons, and the clearest early warning you have.
- Regulator or control problems — on K3V and K5V pumps the load-sensing regulator is often the fault rather than the pump itself.
Excavator main pumps take shock loading and contamination that industrial pumps never see, so a K3V or K5V that has been run with degraded oil often needs more than seals. That is what the teardown establishes.
Kawasaki pump repair and rebuild
We rebuild Kawasaki axial piston pumps as well as supplying parts: rotating group replacement, valve plate and cylinder block work, bearing and shaft renewal, regulator repair and full resealing. Teardown and evaluation are free, you get a firm itemised quote before any billable work, and the rebuilt pump carries a 1-year warranty. See hydraulic pump repair and rebuild.
Hard to find Kawasaki parts
Older K3V variants and the larger industrial frames are frequently quoted rather than stocked, and some components are no longer catalogued at all. Send the full model code and the serial number from the housing, we hold new old stock, we rebuild, and we cross reference by dimension and function. See the sourceable part number index.
