No two failures are the same. The same model can come in with a scored cam ring, a spun bearing or nothing worse than a tired seal, and each one is a different job at a different price. So we do not quote a repair blind and we do not charge you to find out: send the unit in and the teardown and evaluation are free. You get a firm, itemised price for the actual damage before a single billable hour is spent, and if the unit is not worth rebuilding we will tell you that and quote you a replacement instead.

Repair, rebuild, reman or overhaul — what is the difference?

Everyone says it differently. Repair, rebuild, reman, remanufacture, refurbishment, overhaul, recondition, hydraulic service work — we answer to all of them, and they usually mean one of four jobs:

  • Repair — we fix the specific fault. The failed part is replaced and the rest of the unit is left alone. Fastest and cheapest when the unit is otherwise healthy.
  • Rebuild (also called an overhaul or refurbishment) — full teardown, every seal and wear part replaced, worn surfaces machined or replaced, reassembled to the original specification and function-tested.
  • Remanufacture (reman) — stripped to the bare housing, every wear component replaced or restored to as-new tolerance, and brought up to the latest supported revision where one exists. Costs more, lasts longer.
  • Exchange — where we have a rebuilt unit on the shelf you get it now and send your core back after. Least downtime.

How much does hydraulic pump repair cost?
There is no flat rate, because every unit fails differently. A seal-and-wear-parts rebuild on a common vane pump is a completely different job from a piston pump with a scored cam ring and a damaged shaft. That is exactly why the evaluation is free: you get a real number for your actual unit instead of a guess, and if a replacement is cheaper than the rebuild we will say so.

What is the difference between a rebuilt and a remanufactured pump?
A rebuild replaces seals and worn parts and returns the unit to its original specification. A remanufacture goes further, stripping to the bare housing and restoring every wear component to as-new tolerance. Ask for both prices on your quote.

Do you repair servo and proportional valves?
Yes, including solenoids and coils. Servo and proportional valves need cleanliness and correct setting rather than force, and they are frequently condemned when they are only contaminated.

Can you repair closed-loop and open-loop systems?
Both. Closed-loop hydrostatic pumps and motors, and conventional open-loop industrial and mobile circuits.
