Become an Authorized RestoPower Repair Shop

If your shop repairs and rebuilds hydraulic pumps, motors or valves, RestoPower wants to hear from you. We get repair requests from customers across the United States, and we are building a network of authorized RestoPower repair shops so more of that work can be done close to the customer, with a faster turnaround.

This page is for repair shops. If you have a unit that needs repair, go to our repair and rebuild service instead.

How the RestoPower repair network works

  1. A customer sends us a repair. Buyers find RestoPower when they search for a part number, a rebuild or a fix, and they send us the model code and the problem.
  2. We decide where it gets repaired. Some jobs stay in our shop in Lake Orion, Michigan. When a network shop closer to the customer is set up for that unit and can turn it around faster, we route the job to that shop.
  3. The customer knows before work starts. We tell the customer the job is going through our repair network, and the price, turnaround and warranty for that job are confirmed on the quote.
  4. Your shop does the repair. You tear it down and quote it to us, then rebuild it and test it the way you already do.

What an authorized RestoPower repair shop gets

  • Repair work from customers near your shop that you would not otherwise have seen, routed to you only when it fits what you do.
  • A parts source for hard-to-find and obsolete parts. Our catalog carries over 40,000 part numbers, with roughly 55,000 more we can source to order.
  • Factory service data on our site. Our parts catalog pages carry exploded views and factory part numbers, and our guides and decoders cover identification, start-up, troubleshooting and rebuild procedures.

Straight talk on volume. We will not promise you a set number of jobs. The work depends on what customers near you send in and what your shop is set up for. If we route it to you, it is because it fits.

Who we are looking for

What helps Why it matters to the customer
Hands-on rebuild experience on pumps, motors or valves The customer is down until the unit is back in the machine
A way to test what you rebuild A rebuilt unit should be proven before it ships, not on the customer's machine
Clean assembly practices Contamination kills rebuilt units faster than anything else
Honest quoting, including telling a customer when a unit is not worth rebuilding That is how RestoPower quotes, and the customer expects the same
A clear warranty on your repair work The warranty on a network job is confirmed on the customer's quote

What we expect from network shops

Customers come to RestoPower because they want a fast, honest repair, and every network job carries the RestoPower name. These are the standards every network shop works to:

  • Turnaround stated up front, and met. Your quote states the turnaround for each job before the work is approved. If a date is going to slip, you tell us right away with a revised date.
  • Quote turnaround maintained. You commit to a set time for findings, photos and a quote after a unit arrives, and you keep it on every job.
  • Direct shipping. The customer ships the unit directly to your shop and you ship it directly back to the customer, so you need to be able to receive, pack, crate and ship the units you take on.
  • Blind shipping on RestoPower paperwork. No shop name, invoice, price or contact information in or on the box. RestoPower invoices the customer, and you invoice RestoPower.
  • Teardown photos and testing. Findings and photos come to us before we quote, and every unit is function tested before it ships, with the test record sent to us.
  • No direct customer contact. RestoPower handles every conversation with the customer, and network shops do not solicit RestoPower customers.

The full standards, including warranty, insurance, confidentiality and payment, are set out in our Repair Network Terms and Standards, which we send to every shop that applies.

How to apply

Send us the following. A short email is fine.

  • Shop name, address and the area you can serve
  • Contact name, phone and email
  • What you repair: pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and the brands and series you know best
  • How you test what you rebuild (test stand, function test, or both)
  • Your typical turnaround on a standard rebuild, and how quickly you can quote a unit after it arrives
  • Can you receive and ship the units you repair? Tell us about your receiving, your UPS and freight accounts, and whether you can crate heavy units
  • Whether you can ship blind: plain packaging, RestoPower paperwork only, and no shop name, invoice or price in or on the box
  • The warranty you give on your repair work
  • Photos of your shop and test equipment, if you have them

Send it through our contact page, email info@restopower.com, or call (810) 882-1171 and ask about the repair network. We review every shop, then call you to talk through how jobs are quoted, how parts are supplied and how payment works. Nothing is set until we both agree to it.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of shops are you looking for?

Shops that repair and rebuild hydraulic pumps, motors or valves: vane, piston, gear, orbital and hydrostatic units across brands like Vickers, Eaton, Char-Lynn, Parker, Denison, Rexroth, Sundstrand, Oilgear and Poclain. You do not have to do everything. Tell us what your shop is set up for and we only route the work that fits.

Do I need a manufacturer authorization to apply?

You do not need one to apply, and if you have one, tell us. The RestoPower repair network is our own network. Being an authorized RestoPower repair shop means RestoPower has approved your shop for our work. It is not an authorization from Eaton, Danfoss, Parker, Rexroth or any other manufacturer.

Will you send me a steady amount of work?

We cannot promise volume. The work depends on what customers near your shop send in and on what your shop is set up to repair. What we can promise is that we only route jobs that fit your shop.

Where do the parts come from?

Our catalog carries over 40,000 part numbers, with roughly 55,000 more we can source to order, including obsolete parts. How parts are supplied on network jobs is one of the things we agree with each shop.

Will my shop deal with the customer directly?

No. RestoPower handles every conversation with the customer, quotes the job and invoices the customer. The customer ships the unit directly to your shop and you ship it directly back, blind, in plain packaging on RestoPower paperwork, with no shop name, invoice or price in or on the box. Your shop invoices RestoPower, never the customer. The full rules are in our Repair Network Terms and Standards, which we send to every shop that applies.

How do I apply?

Send us your shop details through our contact page, by email at info@restopower.com, or by phone at (810) 882-1171. The list on this page shows what to include.

I have a unit that needs repair. Is this the right page?

No, this page is for repair shops. If you need a pump, motor or valve repaired, start at our repair and rebuild service page and request a quote.
