How to identify your motor

Char-Lynn numbers run in the format 101-1701-009. The first group identifies the family and build, the middle group the model, the last group the variant. Our Char-Lynn part number decoder explains which fields actually select your seal kit, and it is not the ones most people assume.

If the tag is missing or unreadable, send photographs of the port face, the shaft end and the whole body, plus:

Shaft diameter and type, straight keyed, tapered, or splined with the spline count.
Mounting flange: 2-bolt or 4-bolt, and the bolt circle diameter.
Port size and type, and whether ports exit the side or the end.
Body length and the number of through-bolts on the gerotor section.
