Where It Sits On The Pump

The saddle bearings are the bearing pads the swashblock rocks on. On the PVWJ B-Frame they are item 204 in the Swashblock Assembly Group, fitted two per pump. Oilgear supplies them in two factory kits:

• L51053-5 — Saddle Bearing Kit (Kit #85), contains items 204 (2)
• L51052-7 — Saddle Kit (Kit #84), contains items 204 (2), 207 (2), 209

If your teardown shows wear on the saddle block or the locating pins as well as the bearings, the fuller Saddle Kit is usually the better buy. We quote both.

Why Saddle Bearings Wear

Saddle bearing wear shows up as swashblock rock, loss of stroke control and metal in the case drain. It is normally caused by contaminated oil or by running the pump at pressure with degraded fluid, so change the bearings and fix the contamination in the same visit or you will be back inside the pump.
